Our College has a full-fledged training and placement cell and it is an integral part of the Institution. The
Career Guidance and Placement Cell is a year round activity to facilitate contacts between organisation
and Institution. The cell is committed to provide all possible assistance to its graduates and post graduates
in their efforts to find employment. It is headed by Principal and supported by Placement Officer,
Placement Members, Placement Coordinators and Student Placement Representatives.

Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
Name of the Cell: Career Guidance and Placement Cell.
Composition: Chairman, Convenor, Placement Cell Members and Department Placement Coordinators.
Objectives:
Provide career Counselling and career development sessions for graduates.
Develop career services programs that will help student in exploring and planning career options.
Work with students on their needs for career development.
Up gradation of the students communication skills and personality development.
Educate students on resume building, interview skills, and professionalism.
Conduct mock interviews and job search workshops for students.
Regular contacts with potential employers for new job opportunities.
Organise On-Campus Placement Drives.
Update Students about Off-Campus Job Interviews.
Functions:
Collection of database of all the final year students through respective Department
Placement Coordinator at the beginning of the fifth semester for campus placement
activities.
Preparation of the summary of the database received from the Department Placement
Coordinators by placement cell member for quick sharing with companies as per demand.
Arrangement of motivational talks for students to develop confidence building to face the
selection process of job recruiters.
Arrangement of the soft skill trainings (Communication skill, interview skills, Technical
skills, Aptitude) for all the students before appearing recruitment process.
To provide training on aptitude skills to succeed in the quantitative tests during the
campus interviews and in competitive exams.
Gathering information about job-fairs and employment opportunities.
Notifying the students about Pre-Placement Activities, Job Opportunities and Selections
through Notice Boards.
Organising Campus Recruitment Training Programme.
Acts as an interface between the Candidates and the Job Providers.
Collecting Feedback from the Job Providers & Candidates.
Mode of operation: Online/Offline depends on mutual understanding of recruiters and the college Head
of the Authority.
