Research Cell

Inception of the Research development & collaboration centre on January 07, 2014 by Dr.Kathiravan, Head i/c, Department of Psychology, Periyar University, Salem.
The Research cell organises Faculty Development Programmes to enhance the quality of research projects.
The cell motivates and assists the faculty to apply for the funded projects and take up minor and major research projects. Advisory and Ethics committees were appointed and the proposals were reviewed before submission
The cell encourages and guides faculty members, research scholars & PG Students to publish articles in reputed and peer reviewed journals with impact factor.
The Cell initiates publication of books by the faculty.
The research cell of the college takes intense measures to promote the research output of the institution.
It provides valuable suggestions and inputs in carrying out the research work in more effective way.
It also encourages UG Students to take up research activities in groups at a minor level.
Also the cell is keen on improving the consultancy activities of the institution
The Strategies of the cell has resulted in the increase of number of doctorates and Major/Minor funded research Projects
It has also improved the research attitude among the faculty & students.
