  • Introduction
    The course B.A., Economics with Logistics & Freight Management Innovative Programme is an excellent and unique programme available in Sri G.V.G. Visalakshi College for Women, Udumalpet. The dynamic changes in the world have absorbed the human resources to take up their jobs in multi modal transportation emerging in new era. Hence this course has motivated our students to take up their career opportunity as Supply Chain Managers, third party logistics service providers, freight forwarders, Clearing and Forwarding Agent to carry out the activities like warehousing management, inventory management, packaging and bench marking, total quality management and freight management. Foreign trade documentation and procedures have been taught for the career opportunities in logistics companies. The course envisages the students to aspire for the higher education in joining for Master of Business Administration in Logistics and Shipping Management.

    • To integrate the management of supply chain with managerial skills in order to cope up risk and uncertainties.
    • To acquaint the students to give knowledge of organization, co-ordination information technology, E-Commerce and project management skills to deal themselves in this rapid pace of changes in the world to be self reliant.
