The first day of week at Sri GVG Visalakshi College starts with the Morning Assembly. It is scheduled for two days, Monday and Wednesday,in which all the faculty and the students submit their prayers.
Morning Assembly starts with prayer song by our college choir. Besides mass singing of a prayer many other events take place in the morning assembly which includes Thought for the Day by faculty members, announcements by the Principal, sharing of students’ and faculty achievements by the Head of the Departments and Club Conveners.
‘Thought for the Day’ is selected from the large variety of resources e.g. newspapers, quotations from different religious texts or from speeches of eminent personalities.Stories of great persons and values they cherished always have a salutary effect on minds of young students.
