- Red Ribbon Club is a movement started by the Government of India in schools and colleges through which students will spread awareness over HIV/AIDS.
- Red Ribbon are envisaged to instill among all the students the value of service, develop health life style and increase access to safe and adequate quantities of blood to all the needy by promotion of regular voluntary blood donation.
- Apart from this RRC aims at harnessing the potential of the Youth by equipping them with correct information on Mental Health, Substance Abuse,Nutition and reproductive and sexual health and building their capacities as peer educations in spreading massage on positive health behavior in an enabling environment.

The sponsoring body of RRC in Tamil Nadu State Aids Control Society (TANSACS).
RRC functions under the guidance of National Service Scheme of Bharathiar University, which
is the implementing agency. Every year around 260 students are enrolled as the members of the
club.
