Activities
2017-2018

YRC in association with NGO – Youth Social Service (YSS) conducted an awareness rally on Road safety and cancer awarness among the public on 21.02.2018. At the end of the rally a meeting was conducted in Vani Mahal and prizes were given to best drivers and conductors. Awareness drama and Free Helmet distributions also took place.

The youth Red Cross commenced its activities with the union inauguration. Nearly 220 students from the first year enrolled themselves in the YRC.
The YRC were volunteers engaged in seating arrangement activities at the time of college events in GVG auditorium.
The YRC volunteers of our college participated in a Rally to create awareness among the people regarding Dengue Fever and Preventive Measures on 20.07.2017.
The YRC volunteers underwent door to door canvas with placards and pamphlets containing information about Aedes mosquitoes from 24.07.2017 to 28.07.2017.
The YRC units in association with the Youth Social Service Trust (NGO) conducted a Rally on Road Safety and Traffic Awareness on 20.02.2018.

2016-2017

The youth Red Cross commenced its activities with the union inauguration. Nearly 190 students in the first year enrolled themselves in the YRC.
The YRC organized a programme on “Safety Tips” on 31.08.2016. Nearly 280 YRC Volunteers are benefited.
The YRC volunteers distributed old clothes to the tribal people at Pushpathur Village near Palani and Manalthittu Village near Kolumam on 11.09.2016.
YRC and NSS organized Disaster Management Training Programme on 22.09.2016.
To create awareness to general public the YRC conducted a Rally on Cancer Awareness on 14.2.2017.
One of our YRC Volunteers A.M. Iswarya, of II BA Eng (Aided) participated in three day Zonal Level Orientation training programme at Bharathiar University from 24.3.2017 to 26.3.2017.

2015-2016

The Youth Red Cross commenced its activities with the union inauguration. Nearly 240 students from the first year enrolled themselves in the YRC.
The YRC conducted a Rally on “Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking” on 26-06-2015.
The YRC organized a Disaster Management Programme on 02-03-2016.
Two of our YRC volunteers J. Iswarya and P. Girija, II year B.Com (aided), participated in the three day Zonal Level Orientation Training Programme which was held at Bharathiar University from 28-03-2016 to 30-03-2016.

2014-2015

The Youth Red Cross commenced its activities with the union inauguration. Nearly 265 students from the first year enrolled themselves in the YRC.
The YRC volunteers participated in National Voter’s Day Rally on 23-01-2015.
A special programme on First Aid Training was jointly organised by St. John Ambulance, Trichy and the YRC of our college on 24.02.2015.
140 of our YRC volunteers participated in the First Aid Training Programme organized by the Government of Tamilnadu on 16-03-2015.
A Blood Donation Camp was conducted on 30-10-2014 and the YRC volunteers donated blood.

2013-2014

The Youth Red Cross commenced its activities with the union inauguration. Nearly 220 students from the first year enrolled themselves in the YRC.
A Blood Donor’s Directory was created for the year 2013-14.
YRC volunteers were engaged in regular campus cleaning activities and in arranging the books in the library.
YRC conducted a special programme on Cancer Awareness on 11-03-2013.
R. Sathyadevi and M. Iyshwarya of II B.Sc Computer Science attended 3 days Zonal Level Orientation programme organized by YRC, Bharathiar University from 12-03-2014 to 14-03-2014.
YRC in association with St. John Ambulance, Madurai, conducted “First Aid Training Programme” on 27-03-2014. Mr. S. Clement Benebert Raj gave a special lecture and demo for the First Aid.
