Entry into the Library Any person intending to use the Library and its resources in person,
should present her personal Identity Card and necessarily furnish
correct particulars at the Gate Register for entry into the library.
Permissible Number of Books for Borrowing:
Category-wise The number of books lent to members against the categories and the
details are given below:
Teaching – 15
Non Teaching - 10
Administrative Staff members - 10
Students (UG) - 05
Students (PG & MPhil) – 05/07
PhD scholars - 10
Circulation process
Books issued for the students is normally spanned for 14 days.
Renewal on the 15 th day is a must.
Delayed return or renewal is liable for Overdue charges at the rate
of Re.1/ per book per day.
General Rules Governing Various Aspects
Library hours : 9 a.m to 5.15 p.m
Readers are requested to deposit their personal belongings at the entrance of the library.
Visitors / Members are instructed strictly not to keep valuable things such as Laptops/Mobile phones/important documents including cash/purse at the property counter
Usage of books
Underlining, scribling and tearing of pages or any other type of damaging of Books/ Periodicals if found the candidate will be levied Rs 50/- as the fine.
Readers are requested not to place the Books / Periodicals on the shelf after reference. They can leave them on the table.
Strict silence, decorum should be maintained inside the library.
Using of mobile phone inside the Library is strictly prohibited.
Cleanliness should be maintained inside the Library.
Personal books are not allowed inside the Library.
Loss of Borrowed Library Books In case of the report of any loss of library books by a member, the member/borrower shall have to replace the same title with a current edition
